E Spec Evo vs STi
Great vid man!! Thanks for the coverage!!
I want to take a second or 2 to also thank the techs at Tach Motor Works for coming down with us to this event and really supporting the team.
Looking back on the video, I remember the first time I met each and every one of the participants.
I think a tear came down my cheek when I saw someone's hard earned first 11sec pass. It was a bit of a mission with many curveballs, but we stuck by each other through thick and thin.
One guy, whose owned his evo for years finally decided to buy a helmet after getting tuned and decided he was ready to take his car to the track. I remember practicing hole-shots with him up and down the street until the clutch smell filled the cockpit,,,, LOL. To see him cutting 1.6 60fts back to back means somewhere along the line we did something right.
For another, big bucks spent year after year with-out the results he was looking for. Little bugs and overlooked details plagued his car since it was bought brand new... Congrats to you for finally getting the machine running the way it's supposed to.
It's a pleasure attending events with teammates, veteran racers, avid fans, and first timers---- but it's an awesome feeling to do it over and over again until you see the first timers convert to "veteran status" and listen to them giving the new first timers track advice.
I've been going to Englishtown since 1990, it will never grow old to me. Now bringing a new generation of racers to the track with me keeps the track experience feeling "fresh and new" time after time.
Thanks for sharing a few moments of our day.
