Another record broken
Holy crap. Great car preparation! Albeit great driving too Em!
Congratulations on the weight, ET, and record!
Can you take some pics of the interior of the car? (not trying to be sassy, just curious)

There is a lot more weight loss than just removing the back seat and the spare tire
Hate to be a stickler, but if you modded the cams, can you really still call it a stock motor? I just think it should be called a stock block/stock turbo record. Regardless, congrats on a sick time with a little turbo.

Great job STM crew & Emery for driving!! 2600 lbs with 235lbs of Emery in there is crazy! I would love to see you guys hit 9s with this car...I would be very interested in seeing what a ported IX turbo would do on this car also....
I would love to pick up another evo to do something like this with because I can't even seem to pull the AC out of my MR...haha...

Yeah, You havent gutted anything. My car, while an RS, has full interior and weights 3000 w/o driver. Still has PS, AC, heater, Etc. Even though mines an RS, you can do all the RS "weight saving" on a GSR/MR.
I've driven a FC rx-7 where the owner deleted the power steering with a non-manual rack, and the car was gutted to nearly the max like this car. It was a total nightmare to drive without power steering, an Evo with no power steering has to be way worst with more or the weight being over the front wheels. Someone should make a manual rack for the Evo if possible, then it wouldn't be so bad. Emery must have some big ol guns, lol..
