Spec-Ops Motorsports "Black Beast" hits the track
As you all know Mikey has been doing big stuff with his unique FP Black turbo for some time. We changed up the set up a tad for this season to include FIC 2150s, Boomba TB, new Turbosmart Raceport BOV and a Shep Trans Ultimate ratio tranny with .411 final drive. Car is still running English Racing SD programming, but was retuned by Freddie for the FIC 2150s, it actully changed the map quite a bit... Street tuned the car last night in 3rd, then the wideband died... replaced the wideband sensor this morning and did some 4th gear rips to get it close and headed to the track.
Today we went to the track at Fayetteville Mortorsports Park, and got 4 good runs in, as the first run we did was only set up for the 1/8 mile as they were having sensor issues. After getting that squared away we ran a best ET of 10.3 followed by a 10.4, with a best MPH of 139! This was at only 32 PSI! This is the first time we have taken the car to the track this year, and we felt pretty good with our first outing.
Big thanks to Robert at FP for his great turbos, ER for the awesome 2.4LR engine and SD Programming, and the guys at Spec-Ops for their hard work prepping and tuning the car this weekend!
