Has anyone tried these CCW knock off as a drag rim? They are XXR 531. They come in a 16x8 in. And weigh in about 16 lbs. My RX7 rim weighs that( reinforced ones ) . I was thinking about getting them. They are really cheep.

With these being a 20 offset would I be needing a spacer? If so what size?

The wheel may or may not fit depending on the diameter of the hoop itself. If you look on your FD wheels, not only is the caliper to spoke clearance close, but also the caliper to the actual wheel.

 

Kinda like if it was shaped like a bell?

 

Maybe someone here has a friend with a honda on something that has these wheels they can barrow for a quick test.

 

That would be cool. But they only make them in 2 different kinds of offsets. +0 and +20. Shoot I might just go ahead and buy them. They are really cheap. And if they don't fit I can sell them to some honda kid around here. God knows we have a lot of them.

 

huh, did honda switch to 5-lug wheels at some point? I haven't given a **** since the mid 90's, btu last I remember was 4lugs

 

unfortunately, they have made the change to 5 lug suspensions in their latest models.

 

Someone buy one and be the guinea pig

 

All Type-R's are 5 lugs.

It seems like that company is the only ones who can get these in 5lug. I am down for a set if they clear. Just sent the company an email let see what they say.

 

Keep us posted, I could use a new street wheel setup.
