Different wheels, bad?
Different wheels, bad?
I never start a thread before searching extensively about the subject so I don't waste neither your time nor mine.
I've searched around for quite a while now, I've gotten some vague answers but nothing for sure.
I want to equip 17 inch rims on my Evo for an upcoming drag event.
My issue is that I only have a couple MR BBS rims laying around. The other 2 are somewhere else, but they're too far for me to get for tomorrows drag event. However, I have 2 Evo 9 Enkei wheels as well which belong to a friend of mine.
I believe that both rims have the same dimensions except for the offset (?), and from what I read in another thread, offset difference will not damage the AWD system.
Is this correct? Will I be fine running 2 MR BBS rims and 2 Enkeis?
Will the answer be the same if I'm running for example 3 BBS rims and 1 Enkei?

I can't think of a reason why you couldn't do this if the tire sizes are the same
I'd keep it FR to RR though, personally I would't want the weight differences side to side because of the diff impact, not sure what would happen but its not helping you for drag racing.

Yes it is, I just noticed. Mods please
I forgot about weight...
I mean the difference is about 2 lbs, that shouldn't really make a difference even if it's a 3:1 configuration, should it?
