Lana goes 8's !!!

How's it going everybody. I'm no where near as active on this forum as I'd like to be. Just been super busy. But I've never stopped working on Lana. After a rough last year, I decided to finally build a motor & run the car all out. Had some set backs waiting on my transmission. Also had some bad luck, having an oil filter back out on me. Didn't let anything stop me. I finally got a clean pass this weekend. And what a clean pass it was! Car hooked & went down the track smoothly! I got to the track late. So I only got one qualifying pass in brackets. Car bogged the 1st pass. We made small adjustments. And the 2nd hit I finally went 8's! I dailed a 9.1.... It was the best loss of my life lol. The car still has a lot more in it. But I'm more than likely going to save it for next season.

For those of you that don't know this car (Lana) has a lot of history on this forum. It originally belonged to brian aka "most wanted" who went a personal best of a 9.05. He then sold the car to another forum member here named Mark. Who ran the car with a stock block mivec motor and at the time set the stock turbo record. He also did some wire tucking to the car. He sold me the car. And from day 1 I was determined to put my own mark on this car! Having two big shoes to fill. I set the stock turbo record the same year I bought it. (Obviously that records long gone, as guys have been going even faster stock turbo lol) my main goal was to be the 1st to get Lana into the 8's. And this weekend I finally did it! I am beyond happy with my progress with this car. And I promise you that I am far from done!

Here's a few pics for you guys. I'm still waiting for my friend to send me the vid. As soon as he does, I'll be sure to post it up here.

Thanks man! The build is nothing special. It's a Clm Motorsports spec 2.0 block with a stock crank, ported head, t4 pte gen2 6870, revving to 9500rpm, on a Aem v2 ecu.

Lol I wish it was simple. Takes time to find the right combination of parts. & more importantly, being able to get the car to hook & go as straight as possible down the track. But I'm finally getting there. I think I may take the car out one more time before the season is out. We still haven't thrown the kitchen sink at it lol.
