drag racers still got restrictor in?
im just curious on how many of you still have it in.
and the ones who can cut a 1.7 60' do you still have it in too?
please post your best 60' and whether you still have the restrictor and which clutch.
thanks!!

I think it really is "luck" when it comes to the EVO clutch. Some are honest to God defective from the factory and others work like a champ. Mitsubishi choses to blame the drivers for the defective ones. My stock clutch was toast by 5,000 miles. I still have the restrictor, and I don't think it makes any damn difference in clutch wear....but it is easier to modulate the clutch myself and get it right than letting the restrictor do it for me. I will get used to it eventually I guess.

So why are the clutches so ****ty in evo's? Does that go for other Lancer models as well? My RalliArt clutch seems just fine. Although I've only been to the track 3 times with it but I drive it hard alot. I broke 9,000 miles and I think It's fine... hopefully lol
AWD can be hard on the clutch though of course... especially when you guys are launching so hard..

1.73 60' on winter tires with stock clutch, clutch line, and restrictor still in. You don't need to remove the clutch line to get goo 60'. Just practice your launches until you know how to do it right.
stock clutch and restrictor, 1.8 60'. I love my stock clutch, the first couple of times i burnt it to a crisp, but i gave it some time and it holds better than ever now, and i have 17000+ miles on it.

yeah it was the first time launching the car at the track.
i kinda slipped it alittle too much and now the clutch slips alittle.
im just going to take it easy until i upgrade to a twin disc.
i was soo mad because i can get 1.9-2.0 60foots in my civic on drag radials and it has killer topend.
