New Evo 1/4 Record 7.77@181 set by Procco Evo


The Procco Evo just smashed the 1/4 record at the Sport Compact Challenge held at Orlando Speed world. He ran an 8.03 last night. Awesome to see the car leaving so smooth. Hopefully they’ll be able to make a test n tune pass to back up the pass and maybe go quicker.

edit: It’s the same car as the 1320 video.

It was an iron block when I saw it Friday. Im still pretty sure it’s still on an iron block but I have seen teams swap in a billet setup over the weekend.

OK. The 7 Second Bounty page says it is a factory block also but someone who was there the day it ran says it was a billet block.

I am surprised this thread hasn't generated more buzz, but I guess all the drag racers run GTRs now

Honestly the cars don’t necessarily need a billet block to run these ETs and MPH. They’ve had the power to the run the ET just not a smooth enough short track to put together the pass. I do understand the billet will help with longevity though.

I don't think it's billet. Mazworx put the engine together and they don't offer a 4G63 billet block. Then again, what's on their website may not be entirely what they have to offer.

Really great to see this car break through in the end. One of the few "early" cars that is still around now. Be interesting to see if ER can lower this given their new sub 8 time

I’m excited to see as well, I think they may keep the current tune to go rounds. I’m flying into Maryland tomorrow and can’t wait to see that monster do work.
