The world famous "Battle of the Imports" is going on June 12 in Bakersfield, CA @ Famoso Raceway. It is a night time event so weather will be nice and cool.

All the Lancer EVO,RalliArt, OZ Rally, ES, and/or LS owners need to represent.

Drag Racing, Car Shows, Bikini Contest, what else do you want???

Too Fast too Furious for me. I just starred in a reality show at Cal Speedway when I raced my friends Viper. It was called the Fat and the Hilarious. No more fame for me.

Actually I will be at Button Willow on the 13th, I might have to come up a day earlier to this event on the 12th. Anyone need a driver for a 600 hp EVO

 

Man! I thought there would be a better response to this thread. With all the racing and mod posts going around, I guess I am a little disappointed that not many people here will be representing at this event. Hey RnR what class you guys competing in?

 

Well when your done over there you can always come over to the largest west coast VW/Audi event which is being held at buttonwillow on Sunday the 13th. I might be there on saturday to open up the Audi and see what it can do. I would go to the drags with you guys, but it would be a waste of money to just make some shake down runs since I have no idea what the new setup will do.

 

Does anyone know what time the gates open for the racers? It doens't say anywhere on the web site. There is also no schedule for the event on the 12th. All it says is that it starts at night.

 

Don't sweat it, there should be plenty of EVOs there, when I posted a thread about California Speedway not many replied, but many did show up. I think most people just read and do not post.

Doubt we will make it out now. We ran into a few problems with our ECU.

 

You mean you can't have an ECU put in before Saturday. Is that the only reason why your're not racing?

 

We don't want to run the car on the factory ECU and the one we got reprogrammed isn't working.
