So close to 11's

Race gas 25>21 psi

60' 1.72
330' 5.00
1/8 7.72
MPH 88.18
1000 10.08
1/4 12.05
MPH 114.02

Pump gas 23>20 psi

60' 1.80
330' 5.12
1/8 7.87
MPH 88.14
1000 10.26
1/4 12.27
MPH 112.60

All runs are with the stock airbox and filter. Race gas runs were running 11.0 a/f ratios so there's a little room for improvement next time.

Nice runs.

Knock off a little more on your 60' and you should be there.

How's those twins feel upon launching?

.

I love this twin disk. Only problem is it grips so hard I spin all fours constantly. Today I had 9 runs and spun 1st every time.

i spin 1st too... lol .... gotta slip a little more and then mash....did you mess with your tire pressure? it helps

Yes, tire pressure was 26 psi front and back. I'm on the stock advans so I didn't want to go any lower. My engagement from the 6k 2-step is freaking brutal.

try launching at 5500 w/out 2 step...6 is pushing it...transfercase don't like too much

Did you get a 6k 2 step with your flash?

Evoryder Mar 4, 2006 08:30 PM

nope...i yet to try a 2 step...but i'd definetly not want it @ 6k .

It's not brutal unless you dump the clutch, which I don't do when using the 2-step.

To me, the times respective to the MPH are indicating quick shifting, one more true power adder required for the 11's

smoothmarine187 Mar 5, 2006 06:50 AM

I was quickly slipping the clutch about 3/4's of the way and then dropping it right at the end, it was hooking up pretty well......Launch control is the only way to go!

A better 60' and a little quicker shifting and it would be 11's. It is definitely possible to do 11's with 114MPH. 12.05@114mph is a good time but not quite where it could be with that MPH.

Stinkapuss where you WOT shifting? I would recommend your drop your tire pressure to 22-23psi even with the Advans. It should help your 60' and modulate the clutch if needed to keep the traction.

Ok, I will try the 22-23 psi next time out. I was sidestepping the clutch when I launched so I will ease into it next time. I was working on my reaction times so I let the clutch go. I holeshotted a new zo6 so it was worth it. :D

I do a partial lift shift.

FASTEVO8 Mar 5, 2006 10:46 AM

Yup, I say next time out you hit 11's for sure!
