Track Times in my new 06 IX
Got a few crappy 14s bad launch/missing gears ect. I was excited/nervous....had not been down the track in a few years.
Anyway I got one Ok pass. 60 Ft. 2.0XX 1/4 mile 13.4xx MPH 103.92 <<<< I was suprised! Very humid, just rained before the race. I need to get the launch down. I Cant belive this focker ran almost 104 MPH! Thats high 12s with a good 60ft. Car has a K&N Drop in and short throw. |
Good job! Yeah 2.0 60' ... definitely room for improvement. Go back on a cool dry day and maybe ull hit 12s!

Thats relly good for it being stock. However, there is much room for improvement with the launch. You shoud at least pull a 1.8 consistently. You should be slipping the clutch in order to pull those times. It sounds to me you are just using the 2 step then dumping it.

When I learned to slip the clutch I was pulling 1.8-1.9 consistently. Then after a few mods and more practice I got into the 1.7's consistently. |

Also, I do work at a mitsu dealer and the Service manager told me he would hook it up on the clutch, he said its covered for 36K miles  |
Here is the time slip. My buddy was on the right with his Evo (20g and supporting mods)

Also I have beaten03 cobras before no problem. The cobra driver must know what hes doing to even compete with a evo.
Also what yr was the 20g on? |
03 Evo. HKS 264i/272e cams. He was spinning pretty bad.
|
Hmmm, thats odd that with all those mods he is running slower than my simple bolt on evo. Granted its a 9 but hes got cams and a 20g with other supporting mods I am sure.
At any rate, just keep practicing. Thats all you can do. |
Yea, I just got my Hallman Pro RX MBC today, boost gauge is in the mail, Head studs, Walbro 255 and short throw (installed), Lower IC pipes in the way. Now I just have to figure out the Flash. I Emailed a certian vendor on this site. He failed to answer my quesions about MIVEC tuning, was very short and just told me to send him money. I pulled the .HEX file off of my ECU so I am ready to go for an Emial flash. Thats my biggest deal. I dont want a Jackass to give me a bad tune.

BTW we lowered my tire pressure to 25 psi. Is that ok? What do you do?
