VENDORS. You will be able to set up as a vendor for absolutely free. In these hard economic times we need to pull together and support each other. Just pay the entry fee at the gate ($15) and you can set up any size display you like. PM me to confirm you are coming and I will add you to a list for people to know you'll be there.

CLASS SPONSORS. Always interested in having new sponsors on board. Each class is $1000 to sponsor. This gets your name on the trophies, announcements throughout the day about your business, your company display in with vendor status and 5 people. Saturday at our open house a limited size display can be put up at our open house. Your display space is unlimited on Sunday at the track.

**The plaques that will be awarded at the shootout are all MADE IN THE USA. Doesn't seem like a big deal but trying to find trophies/plaques made in the USA, wasn't easy to do.

**In 2007 we paid out over $6600 in CASH to the racers. Payouts are based on the event turn out, just as they are every year.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#1. In the past we've done some small parties/get togethers at my house. This was a big thing to be involved in with a lot of people and I got away from doing it in the past. This year for the first time in about 10 years I am once again going to do a night time get together that is open for anyone who wants to stop out. This will be done at our shop on Saturday night. We'll have a small fire here in the parking lot to hang out around, I'll supply some hotdogs to roast over the fire, buns/mustard/ketchup/chips and soft drinks. You are welcome to bring your own beer or alcohol here IF YOU ARE OVER 21 YEARS OLD. There will be a police roaming around from time to time so keep that in mind. It's just a chance to hang out, talk, tell some stories and relax. I will NOT supply any alcohol as much as I'd like to, liability is just too high. Keep in mind I am sure the local police will be looking very hard to arrest someone for DUI, so use your brains and if you drink don't drive.

Next we have the class payouts all settled and I want to list them.

David Buschur Feb 3, 2009 05:25 PM

The event will be HUGE. It has grown every year for 16 years. Expect 200 race cars and 2,000+ spectators.

You will need a helmet, long pants, long sleeve shirt or fire jacket for safety equipment.

Run what you brung and hope you brung enough:)

Malik_EvoIX Feb 3, 2009 05:30 PM

Celica2EVO Feb 3, 2009 07:46 PM

yea im running Q16 because im too cheap to buy a set of drag radials :( I hope I bring enough to make the field!

dave you work you magic behind the computer and Ill be practicing mine behind the wheel all year long! lol

David Buschur Feb 6, 2009 08:17 PM

I'll work the tune as far as it will go for you, don't worry!

Should be quite a few good vendors there this year with nice displays like last year. It's good to go and get to see as many different things/ideas as possible.

Anyone planning on attending try to get there for the Saturday festivities. Our entire town is shut down for this. The streets are closed off, there are huge banners that go completely across the road on each end of town that say "Welcome Buschur Racing Shootout Participants" It's pretty darn cool. Huge BBQ chicken and Rib cookout too. We are in a small town of about 1,000 people. Last year the population was over double the day of the open house/dyno competition!

Also broke the dyno classes down this year for stock appearing turbos and non stock appearing to let more people have a chance at winning.

The payouts for the classes vary from year to year based on the amount of people we bring in. Last year we paid out more than $6500 in cash, plus the trophies. I realize most people aren't there for the prizes but it's nice to be able to cover some expenses and we do what we can each year.

It's all about the good times and friendships that have been formed over the last 16 years.

StreetThisEvo Feb 6, 2009 08:43 PM

I'm winning something this year! I don't care if it is B2 haha.

red03evo Feb 7, 2009 06:00 AM

I believe I will be there this year. :)

CBRD_Caleb Feb 7, 2009 06:06 AM

Can't wait! Last year was fantastic, and I have no doubts that this year will be even better!

Dave, also, don't forget to let that hickory wood season a little more! LOL

David Buschur Feb 7, 2009 07:59 AM

caleb, each year I get older my wood gets more seasoned! You'll enjoy my wood more this year than last year. hahaha

dryad001 Feb 7, 2009 08:03 AM

I just hope I can attend this year. Ive even been there just spectating and had a blast.

k2boarder3187 Feb 7, 2009 09:29 AM
