detailed instruction on launching awd..

i been tryin to launch my evo...i couldnt get it after many tries...i read the other forum..it didnt help..so i guess i'll start my own... this is what i know so far...

rev up engine in 1st gear til 4000rpm

slip out your clutch...

whenever i do that...it does give me a shoot away feeling..but after it jumps..it slows down to a lower rpm.. my question is after i let out my clutch..do i change to 2nd gear? or when i let out my clutch...my foot has to be on or off the gas? i can't seem to get this right...

That means your accelerator isn't pushed hard enough or fast enough or you're letting your clutch out too fast.

Let your foot out of gas if you don't know how to powershift.

Just pump the gas to 4000 RPM or 5000 RPM and then at the green light, push in the accelerator all the way and let the clutch out fast.

I slip, but I don't have a clutch anymore.

Just don't do the whole 6000 ~ 7000 RPM slip.

There are some good directions on this forum on launching AWD.

I've never stalled my car launching or driving. I stalled when I first drove a car with a twin disk.

I have ACT now. Should be a lot better.
