Um, I think you mean the throttle--not the clutch...

Yeah, you'll go quicker w/ the throttle matted the whole way, but you'd better be quick and precise w/ that shifter & clutch pedal--or else...

there's two ways...either lift the clutch or lift the throttle...
both are ways to go faster but you can't do both. i'd say keep the throttle down and lift the clutch.

I can only no-lift 2nd to 3erd? it goes in smoothly and feels great. if I do it in any other gear it feels like my tranny is going to break! (clunks very loud!)

I wouldn't do it on the Evo until you have the ECU mod. I do it in FWD and RWD because of course tires will give before the drivetrain... AWD on the other hand....

I was under the impression that most small engine big horsepower combinations made all their power up to so you only shift near redline. If you don't lift throttle how do you avoid redlining?

On a small stock like turbo it won't make much difference unless you granny shift. Those of us that ninja shift with a throttle and clutch lift will probably run the same times with NLTS.

Why risk breaking **** to MAYBE be .05 sec faster?

Practice on a old car. I can no lift (throtle) through every gear. Just have to be fast and on time. But it does hurt drivetrain more. When shep did my tranny he had to put a new 2 gear in cause of my abuse. That was at 20k, I wasnt having issues just wanted an upgrade. And with his tranny (shep) it shifted so smooth and easy at redline, I dont think you could miss a gear.
