am i launching wrong?

this is what i do at a complete stop i have the car in neutral rev it up to 6500 rpm as soon as it get down to 5500 i push the clutch and put it in 1st gear am i doing it right?

WHAT??? If I read that correctly you are totally way off, I bounce of the LC untill I see 8-10lbs of boost and then slip it, If you don't have LC then just blip the throttle at a certain RPM and start slipping

put in first gear(clutch to the floor) then floor it . easy.

put it in gear, then do what you are doing. BUT! for the love of god don't launch your car at 55-6500 you'll snap your TC into 2 pieces.

push the clutch in, put it first gear, rev to 5500-6000 and slip or ride the clutch out....simple

why would you put into neutral and rev the engine then shift into gear when it drops too 5500, who taught you how to launch like that? the funniest thing i've ever heard.
