Launch Issue.... HELP!

I had my first issue that made me a little nervous.... I 2stepped at 6k rpm and preloaded the drivetrain. When i let go of the clutch my boost level dropped to 0 and the car went nowhere with my foot on the floor. I didnt see smoke or hear any noises but it definitly shouldnt have done that. Any ideas????

are you larger than stock turbo? You may need to slip the clutch more instead of just dumping it.

I had the same issue, but now that I know to slip it just a tad, I can roast the tires thru 2nd and chirp 3rd

Stock turbo and tires... Ive launced many of times before and roast the tires... but this time it the boost dropped... then the engine kind of bogged around 800rpms for a min like it was about to stall... i had to pump the gas and rev it up a little bit to get it sounding normal.

What is this "preloading" the drivetrain?

Taking the slack out of the drivetrain. releasing the clutch just a bit before launch or using the ebrake to hold the car while taking the slack out.

Did you "pop" the clutch out (let it go) or slip it out? Perhaps you just let the clutch out too fast and had too much grip. It sounds like you just bogged down.

I can't think of any other reason right off hand.

i preloaded and dumped it... yeah boosting fine after that... i was just a little skiddish to rip it after that though... i didnt know if i did damage and i didnt want to make it worse if i did...

Never had that issue before... im pushing 24psi at around 360hp.. there shouldnt be a grip issue.. I drove her today.. sounds fine..

Is it possible i was in the 2step to long and built up back pressure??
