Do you park your car in gear or neutral

I have always parked my cars in gear, that's how i was thought to do it. So do you guys park you vehicle in gear or neutral?

Dont get me wrong. I alwaus use my E-brake when i park. I park in 1st gear and pull the E-brake all the time. In Incline/decline i turn the tires also.

Neutral for me. I have a turbo timer, don't want the centering spring to become loose, and prefer to start/stop the engine with the clutch not depressed.

I park my car in neutral and just pull the e-brake up. Leaving it in gear is always dangerous cause when you turn the car on and forget to put it in neutral it jumps alittle.

Well when you have turbo timer you are pretty much stuck parking it in neutral. That's why i brought this question up because i have always parked my cars in gear and last week i went to test drive a EVO IX and when i turned off and got out of the car with the key in my hand i realize the car was still on, I was like WTF. Thankfully for some reason i left the car in neutral that day. The dealer saleperson hadn't told me the car had turbo timer, but i guese i got lucky that day.

lol, never thought about that, for those who park in neutral I hope the tires aren't pointing straight if you park in the street or hopefully there's a car in front and in back of yours so they can't push it that far.

It depends where I am parking. If it's on a siginificant incline I will leave in gear, otherwise neutral.
