burnout

can i get some tips about how to do a good nice ol burnout? tried some but can only get the tires to screech no smokes.... i want to see some tire smoke...

About 100 hp worth the mods and a good clutch. Then a 5-6000 rpm launch.

why do i need a 100hp of mods???? my friend smoked his stock eclipse(only with an unknown brand SRI), i think its a gs or an rs i know that its a 97 eclipse, manual, the backup light is still beside the car plate

yeah justput bleech on ur tires and a lil on the road...bright white smoke

maybe u could hook up a sprayer to spray bleech on ur tires and stuff when u pusha button from inside the car...that'd be pimp than u could burnout anytime anywhere... scare the people next to u at a light lol...make that civic think again before racing u

yes if you pull the ebrake you can make a big smoke show just rev it up to 5 drop out the cluch with the ebrake up you should throw lots of smoke add bleach to the equasion and look out you wont be able 2 see

The lancer doesn't have a limited slip differential, so it's hard (close to impossible) to do any kind of decent burnout. Of course, if you're really relating this to competition, a Lancer doesn't have enough horsepower to need a burnout, IMO. But if you go boosted, get LSD and you will get much better launches and burnouts. Oh yeah, that ebrake thing helps, too.

edit: if you're talking about burnouts for show, best get a tire company to sponsor you. I've seen burnout contests where the goal (which is usually achieved) is to blow both tires out. Smelly, expensive, and makes your fenders and sometimes engine bay look like sh*t.

hmmm I think it is possible. when I had my civic I used to smoke the tires up for fun. just dump the clutch at about 5k that should do it
