Dyno chart: BR440 + Dynoflash

Well, this past Saturday I had my car dyno'd. This was my first trip to the dyno. I never did baseline the car stock, Overall the results weren't too bad, although they were a little on the low side.

Results: 346whp/312ftlbs

After doing the dyno pulls I was a little dissapointed. After some beeotching I decided to do a leak test and discovered a total of 4 leaks! Also, after fixing the leak I found in my damaged intercooler core I also found out that my 1G BPV leaks at anything past 20psi. Surely there's more power to be had once I fix the boost leaks.

propellerhead, definetly post up your new numbers when all the leaks are fixed!

b18flip, Al has some dynocharts in this section on a brstage4 w/ a 440turbo, putting out around 360ishwhp on 93 and 400whp with a 93/100 oct mix.

BR440 = bada$$ when tuned!

I like the curve - but it seems he was runnig the boost a bit low - this turbo likes 22 - 23 psi - and with the boost leak, its a small turbo so that hurts the power

No doubt I've got some stuff to sort out. Even when cranking the boost up a bit I wasn't seeing any additional power. I think all the little leaks were causing some issues in terms of efficiency.

BTW, I like the curve too. Nice and fairly flat. Hopefully fixing ghe leaks and tweaking the tune will help broaden that curve even a little further.

Check out the timing log from that run. Looks like the ECU is pulling some timing.

That's from the dyno run. You can see the dip inthe power on the dyno sheet where the timing tanks and dips down to 6 deg.

If we do the dyno tune at Pruven after turkey day I'll show you the logger. With a field harness it would make a great plug & play street tuning tool. I've got to get my WBO2 piped into it and have it log that too.

In addition to the friggin boost leaks I'm wondering if I have some bum fuel too. I usually run Shell 93. I effed up and filled up at Amoco/BP. I don't run it too often but it seems like crap gas.

I see that dip. Thats why I want to know the a/f ratio. With 93 octane it should hold 8 degrees in that area. Did they log a.f?
