reset the battery and threw the stock intake on. My weird idling problems seemed to have gone away and it greatly helped with the bucking when backing out of the throttle. The vibration still occurs, but it seems to be more reluctant to occur (only after 4th and 5th gear pulls). I will do somemore testing. I will also try cutting my afc out of the loop for a bit and see if that fixes things. I just hate to have to resolder that **** if it doesn't fix the problem heh. I tightened the chassis ground by the battery too. I know there are gt35r MAF evos out there without this problem so I can't think it's just inherent of the big turbo. Could a fowled up O2 sensor be causing this? I was thinking about replacing it but dont want to if that probably isn't the issue. Oh well putting 272s, head studs and EIDS in next thursday. Hope I get it fixed by then.

They did have to torque that o2 sensor pretty good to get it off the old o2 housing, So im not ruling out damage to it.

I would say 15-20hp, but then again mail in flashes are always hard to tell because vehicles are different.

It could be - those intermtant miss fire issues can be very difficult to track down sometimes

Interesting hehe ... no melting of the plastic square. Maybe it's just a stupid loose ground like I had with my wrx who knows.

This thread was over a year ago. This already happened..... Did you even have your Evo then?
