Yeah - it was funny - I thought I was headed to jail as it was at the end of the tune at the top of a 4th gear pull to test the final ign timing - the fastest I go - worst tim to get nabbed

The cop takes me out of the car and then says do you have any idea how fast you were going ? I said "Man it was way too fast' - he says "Thats right you were doing 71 mph!!!!!" Thank god he had no clue it was over 100 - That's when I statrted to breath a bit easier - I was thinking to myself that he must have been pointing the radar gun at the donut shop !

Anyway - thanks to some *** kissing from Omar and myself and listening to a lecture about loud exhuasts and the dangers of having a wing on your car (attracts car jackers) we were able to talk our way our of the situation

Just anoter day at the office !

I can tell you this - BTW - doing the final 4th gear pull in Howard's car at the end of this tune - and then having to re do it 4 times after we needed minor adjustments was without a doubt the most lawless act I have ever done - that car is a missle with 4 wheels. he only car I ever drove that goes faster in 4th than 3rd !

You were probably making alittle more whp with the SAFC2 but I'm pretty sure you gained aboout 30 - 40wtq with the reflash over the SAFC2. Your car runs smoother and your A/F is alot safer now. Definately worth $299. You can use your SAFC2 to fine tune the dynoflash if you add mods.

Hey Andy,

There is nothing wrong with running 12.2 AFR when it's done on short runs. Besides thats peak at around 5600 to 6400. the avg is about 11.7AFR. Yeah the Flash has made it smoother all around. The extra trq is also from the new cams!!!!. But the band is smoother and i guess safer, I think Rob is not as happy as most, since he likes to rally \road race but he'll get over it.

Talking NExt Trip

Hey AL next time bring your car we can race on the road point to point around town. If you are planning on coming in after Feb 2005 then my car should be able to keep up to or beat yours on the strip. Watch out . The weight diff between you and me should give me a bit of an advantage.so don't supersize your happy meals cause you won't be so happy on the track and the end of the run. See you in a couple of months let's plan on the "Shoot-out at the ALamo" meet in late feb 2005--remember it's all in good fun till you lose.

Interesting !

I don't think you have any idea just how fast a 667 whp evo is and just how reckless and idiotic it would be to race it in any town on public roads.

However, I will be looking into the "Battle at the Alamo" next week and hammering out the details and I would welcome the opportunity to race you at the track.

I guess there is more than one way to skin a cat, I prefer for stock ecu tuning to set the tune at a level that eliminates knock induced ignition timing retardation which is what prodcues my ultra smooth tunes

IMHO detonation and retarded timing is not a ideal path to follow

lean a/f and retarded timing - in your case up to -3 degrees = high egts

BTW my race car runs 11.3 - 11.4 a.f - no need to go lean

Actually you just don't now how to handle the car at 667whp through the street course. It takes a lot of skill, but also the car's susp should be upto par. I could easily do it under the same conditions that we present when we were toying around that night. Anyways it's all in good fun so plan it out dude and let's get ready. Winner get's free all you can eat at your restraunt of choice. I think it would be a lot of fun, ireally want to see how fast your car is!

Well after you build your 667 whp evo I will come down and watch you drive it all about so I can get some pointers !

Speaking as someone who has driven such a beast regularly on the street - the place to push the limits of a vehicle like that is at the track - period
