Case study # 19 0 MR with Flash and 264 cams - 340 trq on pump gas !

Here is out fastest modding new MR owner who is the fisrt out of the box to push the new 05' style turbo to its limits - he wa svery dedicated even buying his mods before his MR arrived - he is the kind of customer who makes working in this business a real enjoyment

His mods are

Walbro fuel pump
264 HKS cams
ARC intake box
3 " exhuast
Hallman MBC

We are seeing some serious trq numbers here considering this guy is still on stock fmic and pipes

A real smooth car and I can once again say after an extended test drive to fed ex to drop off some military fed ex flashes - I have the best job in the world - The MR is a blast

This is great marketing man... If you don't come to Ohio soon, I may just drive up to where you are at and have you do some magic on my car!

Al,

First off, I would like to say thank you for all your kind words. A dedicated tuner such as yourself, who went ahead of the pack to get the maps and configuration for the 2005 ECU, should be commended for all the hard work and effort put in.

The dyno results were only the tip of the iceberg when it came to the magic that the Dynoflash did for my car. When we took the car for a ride it was simply an amazing experience that I cannot put into words. Once again, I must thank you Al for the great results.

I hope you are set for a reflash when the remainder of the fuel upgrades come in.

- Mike

PS: Al, I think it would be good to let everyone know about the breakthrough you made today.

Thanks so much for the kind words man !!!!!!

I tell you it was a real pleasure to work on your car - it runs amazing well - it feels to me like a factory tuned vehicle, no issues or problems. Actually it was perfect.

As for your next series of mods, I would suggest to you the Buschur mini battery and upper intercoole r pipe with 1 g bov, some sort of lower fmic pipe, and the suction of MAF pipe from the arc intake to the turbo. Those mods will help you make more power. Of course soon you will be needing the injectors - in fact you are close to the end of what the stock ones can handle now.

As for our new breakthrough - which you were brave enough to test (I appreciate that) - somethings we do not talk about !!!!!! I prefer to let the other tuners figure out some of the things for themselves !

Enjoy that great machine and try to avoid speeding tickets - that MR is a speeding ticket machine !

Al,

Just ordered the 1G BOV this morning. Going to need to find an adaptor plate for it though.

The intercooler piping will be replaced with hard HKS Kansai piping. The kit also includes their intake to turbo charge pipe. All good stuff direct from the homeland.

Fuel upgrades for next time will be the Perrin fuel rail, Pruven/aeromotive fuel pressure regulator and larger injectors. My question to you is as follows: The HKS line carries 680cc and 1000cc injectors. What would be your take on which injector trim to go with?

As for the other thing I totally understand. You put a lot of time, money and research into this project and I too believe that those who tilled and cultivated the soil should reap the benefits of the fruit come harvest time.

Once again, thank you.

- Mike

Yea, you think you know your car until AL takes you for a ride.
I was reaching for the "Oh ****" handle before we left the parking lot.

Congrats to both you and twan.

Nice #'s. Al does the MR feel different when it pulls compared to our 03's because of the six speed or is the sesation pretty much the same at equal power levels?

Is the updated turbo in the MR the same in all 05's or is it just in the MR?
