Custom tune

Al, what kind of limit is there when you do a custom tune. We have gathered 5 deposits for the Salt Lake City trip, but there could be a couple of more. What is the max number you will tune? Additionally, since we are going to get a custom tune here at this high of an elevation, how will this affect our cars at sea level. Will we need to get another tune?

I can do as many as you guys like - just keep the deposits comming - I will be booking my flight in the next few hours

The appointments are two hours apart - I will be posting a seperate thread for the sign ups

The ecu has its own barametric pressure compensation - there is no need to retune at varying altidtudes - if you have a mbc you may need to readjust it that is all

Al, I am wondering if I need to upgrade my fuelpump before you do the custom tune. I will be running a 3" tb exhaust and k&n drop in as my only mods.

Thanks

Do the pump Jeremy, it's cheap and now that I have done 3 of them in the last week.....very easy install. Get an MBC as well.

upgrading the fuel pump?? dont' you have to upgrade the injectors as well at the same time?? i mean isn't the stock pump enough to use 100% duty of the stock injectors??? this all confuses me

The stock pump isn't consistent...from what I have been told. The last thing you want is a lean condition. Al say that it isn't totally necessary....but recommended.

MBC is not allowed in my autox class Need to stay legal.

I thought that I read somewhere that if you were running higher then stock boost then it was a good idea. Just wondering with the current mods if it was a good idea or not.

The MBC is easy to take in and out. I've got my fuel pump R&R's down to 12minutes.....LOL

I think as long as you are running stock boost you shouldn't have a problem, but I am by no means the leading authority on car tuning.

If your running stock boost yout stock pump should be OK - but for $90 for the better pump - IMHO its cheap insurance to prevent a overly lean condition if the stock pump begins to over heat in the summer

I can tune it either way
