How much boost do you think you could run on a stock motor with conservative timing? 28psi? The reason I wonder is could you say run 28 psi with alcohol and when it runs out turn it down to like 20-21?

Thanks Al. Unfortunately I am not able to finish up my install by this weekend. The damn rain in LA messed up my last three weekends to work on the car. I'll make an appointment with you next time you come out to L.A. I'm glad your custom tune for 4ringturncoat turned out well. I'm looking forward to see what you could do my set up using our 91 octane.

4ringturncoat, what type of alcohol does Dave use for his injection mixture? I have about 10 gallons of a 50/50 mix of methonal and distilled water. I hope that will work well.

The BR system uses 100% alcohol. I have been using denatured alcohol which is about 90% ethanol and 10% methanol. I have driven the car pretty hard since last Friday and gone through about 2 quarts so far.

Al,

I tweaked the boost like Dave said and it pegs 26/27 lbs in first and second almost instantly. The slight leveling of boost when the alky hit is completly gone...this thing is just stupid in first and second now. I would like to see what it does on a dyno. Think I will need the BR580 for tens but this thing must be good for a sub 11.50 pass right now. Your tune as amazing.

What can you realistically run safely on pump gas w/o alchohol? 93 octane.

1 other question,...You said your trying to keep it stealth (I like, LoL) is the alcohol kit stealth enough to get by a dealer? I know you said it uses the intercooler sprayer tank

[QUOTE=4ringturncoat]The BR system uses 100% alcohol.QUOTE]

So keeping a bottle of Jack Daniels around in the car will do the trick.

What she does on the dyno is not that big of a concern, to me the REAL hp proof is in 1/4 mph, not so much et but what she can mph. I was going through the traps at 114 so if you figure out car weight, et, mph and know your a pretty driver you can tell pretty close to what hp your making. Mine was around 430 to 440 at the most at the crank last year.

I can't run the car right now so I am curious to see what she would dyno. The car is soooo much faster now then when she was running 11.90's. I am bettting it is over 440hp (pulling number from a**) on Als dyno. I will always understate performance until I can back it with a few passes. All I know is I have a 9.99 and faster NHRA liscense and pur it to use every now and then, even after going 9.60's in a drag car this thing still feels very very fast.

I doubt the kit will get by the dealer as there is a large stainless hose going into the top ic pipe right by the throttle body.

Al or Dave, I am really interested in this kit and want to order it. Can you please PM me ordering info or post it. This is easily the best mod to come out for the EVO in a while.
