High boost after tune

Al,

I met you in ohio a couple of weeks ago and you did the tune for my buschur stage 1 on the silver '04. I accelerated today and my boost was holding at 25 psi with a slight fall to 24 at redline. Needless to say I was a little concerned and didn't want to cause any damge so I took it easy. Later I turned down the boost a little bit and it peaked around 21 psi and fell off to 20. Will this affect my tune what would be the best place to set my boost. I am running bp 93 oct always, I can add on occasion citgo 100 oct (if helpfull).

Thanks for the help,

Adam

What kind of boost contrfoller do you have? peak at 21 and falling down from there is the maximum you should run on pump gas.

Al,

Things continue to get more confusing. I turned down the boost about 2-3 full revolutions and the car was holding 20-21 psi. I went away for the weekend and let the car sit. Today I drove it and the car was hitting 16 psi in low gears and 18 psi in 4th. I turned it up 3 clicks and the car hits 19-20 psi in 4th, but only 17-18 in 1st - 3rd. What should I do? It is a little warmer than last week when it was single digits. Any advice would be appreciated.

PS.
I have the buschur stage 1, and was interested in a fuel pump and wanted to add either a 20g turbo upgrade or alcohol. What would be better for saftey, eficiency and power. Do I need to add anything else to be compatable with upgrades. Thanks.

It seems that you have an issue with your boost controller. How old is it ? There have been some changes to the Buschur unit recently.

I had the same issue. Take the spring out of the unit and stretch it, yes seriously stretch it and then reset it with it all the way out and work it back in at 1/2 turns till it gets to about 15 psi and then 1/4 turns to fine tune it. I didn't have any issues after doing that, and mine now holds rock solid at 20psi

No dount he is having some issue with his spring - they recently modified the way the rod goes into the spring - i don't know which version this guy has but all it takes is pulling out the spring and making sure its not jamed up
