If denatured alcohol is the same thing as rubbing alcohol then I'm officially an idiot.

Yo go to HOME DEPOT they sell them in the PAINT dept. i have about 10 gallons in my house they come in 1 galon blue tins.

Denatured is usually called alcohol solvent at most hardware stores, not rubbing alcohol.

oh, that's right.

duh.

i worked at a hardware store for a couple years too.

we carried it in gallons and quarts. white metal bottle with a yellow accent.

what was i thinking?!?!

i wasn't.

Go to Lowes be like its cheaper at Home depot and they will price match plus take an extra 10% off the price, not the difference. Just if u wanna save some money though.

Rubbing alcohol is isopropyl alcohol, AKA isopropanol.

Denatured alcohol is ethyl alcohol, AKA ethanol. It's the alcohol in booze with something added to make it undrinkable.

They're different chemicals.
