Yes - you would have no problems - but the tune would be slightly lean in the mid range. In most cases the tunes are so mildy tweaked the customers could run them on pump gas without the alcohol also - just not a good practice

What would really happen if we did run out of alchohol? Could there be any way to limp the car home like drive very slowly?

I can answer this. Yes of course. You can stay off of boost and the car will do just fine. I believe it is referred to as closed loop mode of driving. Been there done that. However,it sux when some competition comes out to play and you can't open up a can of whoopazz.

Good question

First of all - when you get these kits you can simply put in on with the tune you have and TURN UP the boost. WIth this option you get about 1/2 the power gain and when you dont run the alcohol you can simply turn it off.

2nd choice you can run a mile tune up which will get you most of the power but which can be driven without alcohol at 18 psi with no issues - this is what I recomend for most folks.

3rd choice - you get a total race gas tune and if your alcohol runs out or stops working you have to stay off boost. This gives max power and max risk obviously.

When I sell the kits I go over the options with the customer.

Tell me about it - I drove from AMS in Chicago last year to my house all off boost - on pump gas - really sucked when I wanted to lay the smack down on a z-06 in PA

Hey Al you are a lil more capable of that than I am when you have the right fuel. BTW How long or how many high boost runs will a gallon last. Also if you stay off of boost i would think no Alky is being used or am I wrong. Maybe these ? have been answered but I am lazy and do not want to do a search.

The starting point is adjustable. If you set it to start spraying at 20 psi for example it will use a lot less than if you start it at 8 psi. The amount you spray of course effects the power level you can push without knock.

I have tuned serveral guys for hours on the dyno and then done extensive street drive testing - enough to drain an entire tank of gas - mostly full throttle and not used up a tank full yet

On my monster - I used 3 gallons pump gas and 5 gallons of c 16 and did not use up half the alcohol in the tank yet

Say if you have the alky to work at 10psi then as long as you dont hit that amount there is not one drop of alky consumed even at idle?

Pretty tempting since Ive had 2 custom tunes already...

My only concern is if there is a malfuntion with the pump or any part of the assembly ,how will you know something is not working?

Before you press the go pedal...
