Al, just installed a "mail in" base flash on a stock 2003 evo using 93 octane. Noticed an improvement from 5K to 7K RPM, however its now a dog in 5th gear. It used to have a nice kick between 2.3K and 4.5K RPM.

To pass anyone at 55mph, I now have to drop a gear. Before when it was stock, I didn't have to drop a gear.

Any suggestions to remedy this would be appreciated.

I am comming down that way on the 10th - I can take a look at it and see what is going on - or you can upgrade to a custom tune if you want while I am there - there is a thread about this on this section of the forums
