Talking Thanks AL..Now Everyone's after me =)

Just got my ECU back from AL...THANKS AL...I haven't put it on my car yet(still at work)..I can't wait to get home and put it on. I know its going to be great, especially with AL's new discovery about the "boost control" in ECU...(does this mean that I have no use for my Hallman MBC which i bought from you)...but I just want to say, "Thank you very much AL, you're definitely one hell of a guy!"

My brother is telling everyone about my "new" mods in my car: (Buschur 3"TBE, K&N drop in filter, MBC, Walbro 255, and MR BOV, and DYNOFLASH.., Everyone in my neighborhood is after me.

The kid that has a 05 SRT-4 SE(supposedly Special Edition) that I beat, now wants a re-match because he now has a Stage 2 on his SRT 4. He told me its only a wastegate upgrade. And another friend of mine who sold his modded RX-7(worth more than 34k) for 10K and bought a 05 STI also wants a peice of me. Now, I am not big on street racing or asking for races. The only reason I raced the SRT-4 was because he was at my shop when I was working on my car and he just kept on bugging me to race.

I really only want to enjoy the new mods in my car. Now if I see them in the highway or in the streets, then maybe, just maybe i might be willing to unleash my minor mods capabilities.

Just a thought...thanks!

.

I still have the MBC on...as of now...I will put the ECU back on tonight and see how its running. I will most likely will ask for Al's advice on this....i think it still might be good to have the MBC to have control of the boost.....

On another subject, does it seem like EVO owners are the good guys in terms of the Racing scene...because everyone else(SRT4, STI, etc) is after us...maybe its just me..

A stage two SRT-4 puts down about 260whp, depending on options he could be closer to 270whp.

I would greatly appreciate your review on the flash after you have installed it. The mod's you have are what I plan to essentially put on my car hopefully this summer. I'll check back!

Good luck with everything!

Re: S2 for SRT
S2 wid toys:
intercooler sprayer
dial a boost (race gas setting)
Adjustable wastegate
ECU with enchanced programing to accomodate the changes
4 new fuel injectors
1 cool S2 badge

You can also bet that he has an upgraded exhaust.

If memory serves me correctly he should do 12.5 - 13.1's in the 1/4, its been a long time (3 months) since I've been involved with the Chrysler stuff. (puke em,)

former 03 S1 PTGT owner

If he only has a wastegate he has told lie no.1. That is not an S2. If so then I could of said that I had a S2 PTGT cause I ran the S2 wastegate with a Hallman, etc. As far as the boost is concerned I went from 13 to 18 PSI with S1, S2 wastegate and a boost controller. Those engines are very strong. It just sounds like he is lying peroid. Check out http://www.mopar.com/srt_stage_2.htm for SRT4 S2 information.

Talking Wow

GUYS...update on the DYNOFLASH Mail In...

Hooked it up and fired up the car..sounds great/normal/ and idle is stock like.
Warmed it up, had dinner and took it out for a drive. ...

Reading what others have said about this flash is no joke. It really does hold all the way past 7000 redline. Its amazing how the car feels now. It just keeps on pulling hard, smooth, and just plain unbelievable. I would definitely recommend this to everyone. Some points I did notice.

- boost is holding on 21 psi...
- boost kicks in earlier
- shifting now must be done quicker
- throttle response is immediate
- i dont know what else to say, but WOW......

Question though...
- what kind of FLASH did I get?
- do I still need my MBC?
- what is my new redline?
- do I have a speed limit?
- is my idle suppose to be at 900?

AL, THANKS for everything...and please reply if you do see this!
Have a goodnight everyone!

My idle is at about 900 too, and I was custom tuned... and your redline is probably 7800 like most of his flashes... no there is no speed limit... and that MBC question is a good question. Good choice on the flash, I love mine every minute!

He should still walk all over that srt-4 from a roll and kill him from a dig.

BS A stage 2 SRT can run low 12s maybe high 11s on slicks with the right driver and trap 109-113 mph. So 260 whp is alil pessimistic IMO. Try at least 330 whp. don't ever underestimate the competition. I think from a roll you might have your hands full with a stage 2 SRT.

...

Day 1 and 67 miles on the newly Dynoflashed EVO...loving it!
Although sometimes I do notice that when I am driving and coming to a stop, and I put the gear on neutral, the car's rev/idle stays over 1k, but slowly goes down to about 900....I think the computer just needs to relearn and adjust to its new settings.

I think it is all about the driver, but of course car settings has a lot to do with it too...

Thanks for the reponses guys...

ps..The question now is....what would my next mod be?..suggestions (cams, cam gears, clutch, brakes, head studs, icp, injectors, )

330whp, I don't think so. You might want to recheck your numbers.
