Tales of the dyno - MR with Helix intake - (I like)

Here is a 2005 Evo with following mods:

Helix Intake, Helix 3' Exhuast, Hallman MBC, HKS 272 cams, Walbro furl pump

22 psi and custom Dyno Flash

I like the Helix intake

BYW - this was 93 octane pump gas

Very impressive! Think you could make the same power with 264's, or 264/272?

Damnit! Have to make up elsewhere. Is it true you reccomend the GSC cams because of power and smoothness? I'd like to know what you think because those cams could save me some $ to spend on a custom tune in the future.

Al, are you recommending 22 psi on 93 octane now?

On a "custom tune" for A/F it should be ok. Any higher, you have to start modding your fuel system requirements...

Edit: The guy has a Walbro Alls' good ... 22 is fine. Al, what A/F is the guy running?

With the larger 05 turbine housing I seem to get away with 22 psi and no knock what so ever.

However - this guy had the old, old school hallman mbc which was spiking the boost up slightly then falling down. The newer hallman's hold a more steady boost so I would no doubt stay at 21 prob.

All I can say was that the car was very fast for the limited mods

Any idea how much of a difference there would be on an 03? With the same mods? Nice numbers.
