just installed the alky kit

well just finished my kit. couple of things that i think make life alittle easier.

1. loose part of the bumper on drivers side (5 min of time makes it easy)

2. i ran the wiring harness through the drivers side (poked hole in wiring harness boot )i resealed it with sealer.

3. the only real thing i dont care for is the sprayer. you have to fit the whole thing inside the hard pipe. (i think they need to have a smaller elbow).

4. i like the kit as far a stealth wise..

cant wait to get tunned for it next sat.

Any feed back on the way the sprayer should be pointed? wouldnt you get better mixture from spraying into the direction of the turbo?

ill have pics up soon

If you spray it in the direction of the turbo, the mixture is just going to be sprayed right back at the elbow nozzle assembly and it won't be very consistant.

Pix would be great, especially if you uses the stock IC piping. Curious to see how people did it.

actually the nozzle sprays a cone patten and will cause more of a plum effect.
which should cool better.

also i think the better place to place the nozzle would be about a foot away from the throttlebody.

i know the AEM civic uses meth injection and they spray towards the turbo.

so should be interesting

I think it does not matter which way you spray it. If anyone has some time to kill like myself and David Buschur did last month, try a fun test - pull out the sprayer and spray it into a bucket and watch how fine and atomized the light mist is - you can bearly see it its so fine. Agsinst the stream - CART car style - of with the stream or sideways at a 90 degree angle like the 3rd gen kits - it qall will work the same.

I think in the new issue of SCC maybe they have an article on a Costworth CART car which sprays 3 nozzels of methanol against the air flow in the turbo compressor housing to cool the charge in the turbo.

If you have the gen 2 kit or above, then you dont need the lub.

Gen. 1 has a metal pump, gen 2 has black plastic pump.
If you didnt get the lub. with your kit then you prob. got the second gen.
