Ok people Im doing this because I want to know why Al is so great with the flashes and also I want to know why some people say Turbotrix's flashes arent the best. This is just informative for me please, but also a couple of my friends are reading this. Thanks for your time.

honestly dude, if you just click on different threads through out this forum you will surely find an answer. They have been bickering back and forth for awhile now, so it won't be hard to find. But starting a thread like this, has drama written all over it.

 

We are not trying to start anything its just that AL is coming to Puerto Rico to flash 10+ cars.

I was the one who picked AL as the tuner and Randy who is the person to talk if you want to get things done here in Puerto Rico is organizing and putting everything together.But now out of the sudden comes Luis from Turbotrix with an offer of flashing our cars for $300 wich is $50 less than AL's price and since they been here with their car some people is having second thougts. I tried to explain some people why i'm so sure AL is the best in flashes at our forum.It is in spanish tho.

I'm sticking will ALs and so are the the 2 other cars i have bolted everything in but a good explanation from you guys from the states will back me up and make my friends here in PR be certain of the choice i made and what they are paying for.

 

Some people don't like Al because he's pretty straightforward with people and a little rough around the edges. Having said that I think he's great and an honest guy who does what the customer wants even if they're crazy. Yesterday I was going to have a full dyno tune when it was determined that I had some sort of issue with my factory boost control. Even though he spent significant time with me , he only charged me for the base flash and the car positively flies where it was a little laggy before. I think I've even solved the boost issue so we're in good shape. Beforehand he had spent hours with another customer who was particular about their maps... so I was impressed that at the end of the day he was still willing to deal with me.

 

No problems guys. I apprecoate the post - however I am not so desperate for business to try and undercut other's prices. My price is what it is and its a fair price for the time I spend per car - 2 hours.

I think when it comes to tuning its kind of like hiring a medical doctor - you have to have confidence with who youy are using but tought to really quantify which doctor is better.

All I can tell you guys is that I have been doing the reflash almost 100% of the time the past two years and I have tuned over 1600 evos in the US. I have a LOT of experience on flashing evos and ZERO blown motors in my wake.

My ONLY problem I seem to have at this point is finding enough hours i the day to handle the demand of business I have and to find a way to arrange travel trips to all the places that want me to go there.

IMHO - this thread is silly and it will only serve to start another ugly argument.


If youguys want me to come - I am happy to come - if you want TT for $50 less - get TT. I think it says a lot about them that they are stooping to the level of whoring out thier prices to get business.

I spend more time on the cars - twice as long to get it perfect and YOUR cost would be $350 - per car - which is already a discounted rate

All I can say is you get what you pay for and my tunes work very well and have zero problems.
