E85

Would it be possible to use the reflash technology to take advantage of the increasing availability of E85? I know it has a high octane of 105- 110, but the timing must be changed, as well as some other modifications to the fuel system. Any thoughts, Al?

I don't believe our fuel system is set up for E85(fuel tank, fuel lines . . .). But, to answer your question, with E85 everything would have to be changed, timing, A/F ratios, and so on. It would likely be a rather pricey and difficult venture. I believe it was discussed on EvoM a while back.

I searched but did not find any hits. I don't think that there would be that much to chnage, or one could run it as a secondary fuel system . There is a flash or some device that allows folks top run two different setups with 91 octane and 100 octane, so I don't know how practible it would be.
