Trunk-mounted 05 Alky system
Al, I've seen a couple posts where you refer to an alky system for the 05s that mounts in the trunk.
-- Will this work on an 03 or 04? I'd rather have my resevoir in the trunk.
-- You told someone to have it "professionally installed" in one post. Is it not a bolt in?
-- Any other information you have on it would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rich

If I may be so bold...
You could probably facilitate an installation using the windshield washer reservoir and the parts from his alky kit minus the bottle plus some motivation. A good suggestion would be to use all SS line from the reservoir to the front of the car and to mount the pump on the fuel rail so it will be gravity fed and as little pressure drop as possible from the pump to the nozzle.
You can also install a custom fuel cell, but then you're talking at least 500 for the fuel cell with the proper foam and if you add another 500 for the alky kit parts, it's a question of diminishing return on investment.

500 for a fuel cell, na. Several supra guys buy marine tanks that are 3 gallon to fill with Alcohol and they are about 20-50 bucks. I have waited for several vendors to come out with a kit that runs from the trunk and so far I haven't found anything so I am trying to get some information to use http://www.derekdevises.com/ kit with the AEM. This kit is a full progressive kit with failsafes. It increases for boost and for RPM, you tune it like a fuel injector (Boost and RPM). Not just for boost with a gain. So you can be more consistant and fine tune. No rich spot if you jump on it early and no lean spot if you jump on it late or a different rpm than you tuned it with so much safer. As soon as I get the project finished I will post results.
FYI You don't need the AEM to run it. It will also run with a reg ECU and you can kill the SAFC fuel pull as a failsafe if you wanted too.

Thanks in advance.
I picked up a 2 gallon fuel cell with sender for under $150 that I plan on using for an alky kit.. I'm doing a trunk mount setup also.. You don't need anything expensive, just something alcohol safe with baffling or foam and a vent.

Here are the rear tanks that I was looking at. They also have a guage sender that is optional. A 3 and a 6.5 gallon. Hopefully I will get my questions answered I posted on the forums so I can start on this project. Only 20-30 bucks!

Do you have a picture of this kit? I didn't see any trunk mount options on the website so did you have to call directly and order it. If so what was the price?
YOu dont need any baffling or foam inserts. The kit was a custom order from SMC. Basically I asked him what I needed and how much space I had, he then sent me something to work with. I will also be mounting the LED bulbs in the dashboard, nice clean look.
