Updated Dynoflash in Puerto Rico (My results)
Updated Dynoflash in PR (UPDATED MY RESULTS)
Ok here's my numbers first when I got off the dyno with C16 on my tank and still had tonight when I did 5 runs in the 1/4 mile.
C16 numbers:
338 whp & 365 tq.
Now in my old WRX with C16 I had:
320 whp & 304 tq.
I ran 12.3 @112
Now first run tonight was 12.9 @106 mph (WTHHHHHHHHH???????)
Second run was 12.8 @106 mph
Oh and the 60Ft were 1.72 constant
My friend with only 290 whp made 107.7 mph
I have no idea what is this, but something is wrong with my car and if someone has any idea let me know how to fix this please.
Thanks for your time
Randy

Your trap speed seems way off from what I would expect
Your car made good power on the dyno and during my test drive it also pulled hard
A few ?'s - 1 - How does the car feel now on the road, does it feel like it did after the tune ?
2 - what boost are you running now ?
3 - Is the boost holding to red line or falling off ?
4 - Any miss fires? Is the boost nedle holding steady or moving about ?
Note - its very common for cars with race gas and high boost to blow off a vacume hose or develop a boost leak - its easy to happen at higher boost levels. A boost leak test and checking of all possible boiost leaks usually fixes those problems.
For example my car today after comming back from the SEMA show was down 80 whp on the dyno and falling off boost on the top end of the power band (not typical) - so I developed a boost leak some where and now I have to track it down
Also - a leak down compression test is in order as well to make sure the engine is healthy - e.g. no blown head gaskets etc.

1. Car doesnt pull like on saturday or sunday on the road
2. Boost is the same as you set on the dyno I just added more C16 to make it to the track with 1/4 of tank of C16 only so it was more pure.
3. Boost is the same in terms of falling off, peaks 27 and goes down to 23-24 and sometimes to 22 psi but that because of the stock turbo I bet.
4. No miss fires, boost needle is moving like I said from 27 psi to 22 at least and holding there.
I will take it tomorrow to check everything on it but I dont think I have a boost leak anywhere, we'll see. Is the flash locked inside the ECU? I disconnected the negative pole of the battery and left it for 4 minutes and then hooked it back.
My friend suggested my car is running too rich or something, when I make a pull on third and fourth they feel like when we put the car on the dyno with the 270 whp base. Actually it doesnt pull as hard as it used to and I have done nothing to the car, I actually kept it without making boost for 2 days, running always at vacuum just to make sure I saved gas for today.
No idea.
Thanks for checking this and please think of what else could it be

My thoughts on this - take the car to Willie and redyno it. I will pay you to cover the expense. See if someone has a wideband 02 sesnor to hook up during the dyno pulls.
Also - see if you can do a compression test.
As far as the tune goes - its locked in the ecu and does not change when you disconnect the battery.
These tunes are permemnet until you re-flash them again.
I will get to the bottom of this one and if need be I will fly bakc there next week to fix the car and drive it down the track myself if needed. The car can go 11's when I drove it last.
heh, I will take the car apart tomorrow and find a wideband, I need to have this fixed before June 4th because I have a match in an event against an STI and like this hell no Im not running, and I think my 60ft's are hella good, 1.72 at a track known for not having good 60's to anyone, heck with my WRX I never went down from 1.86
I will keep you posted

I know just how frustrated you feel as on Thursday am when I finished my new turbo kit on my car it made 620 whp at low boost maxing out the injectors. Over the weekend going from Atlantic City and back the car has lost 80 whp and wont make any power even at 38 psi of boost.
Now I have to resort to common trouble shooting methods to figure out my problem. I already did a compression check and read trhe spark plugs. Sometimes these things take time to track down but its worth it in the end.
Ok Al, seems my car doesnt like pure C16 and it has to be mixed, the car now with full tank of 93 octane feels better at lower boost levels than yesterday at high boost, no leaks anywhere as we checked. I think we'll install an emanage or an Apex to lean out the car when using pure C16, dunno give me some feedback.

for the offer to RandyJust take a short peice of pipe - same diamter as stock turbo inlet - weld on a flat piece of metal on one end of pipe - screw in a tire valve into pipe
Use compressed air with a pressure gauge (tire kind) in line to pressurize the boost system and you will hear the leaks and observe if the system cam hold 23 psi or so

. Found some minor leak on the silicone coupling due to a small tear on the hump hose. Changed out the coupling but the car still not running like it use to. Hopefully a dyno run tomorrow will show whether there's a leak or whether I'm just paranoid.

I like the forge BOV which comes with various springs and shims to custom adjust it and which I sell for $150 shipped
sorry, i meant hold pressure behind valve, not leak to atmosphere.
thanks for the info on the forge. damn i just ordered that one from buschur.
i left you a messege the other day about that and a hallman mbc to swap out on
my buschur stage 3 setup but i needed it by the weekend so i had to order elsewhere.
BTW, sorry about the thread highjack
