Are the EcuTek flashes for the '05 Evo different than '03/'04 Evo flashes? My understanding is that the '05 models put down a little more stock power, but after an EcuTek flash all Evo models, regardless of year and assuming the same supplemental mods, seem to put down the same HP/TQ? Seems like EcuTek should have made a custom flash for the '05 model the same way they're doing for the new '06 Evo IX. Am I missing something or do '05 owners lose that little factory edge with an EcuTek flash?

 

All trhe ecutek flashes are the same. The 05 turbo allows it to make slightly more power than the other cars. Also the 05 has the two step launch control and the others do not.

 

So the software is identical but the '05 models still put down a little more power? OK. I can live with that.

al, can you reset the two step rpm limiter on the 05's to different rpm? with your mail in flash, or upgrade to it?

 

Any reason why the pre '05 models will not have the two step launch control? Is the possibility of a 2-step launch control in the future upgrades of the software?
