If your cams are giving you a loopey idle, you should be able to fine tune the cam gears and be able to get it stock like.

i have 272's and got the mail in flash through al and HIGHLY recommend al's flash. i've heard of horror idle stories from everyone here on the forum that has 272's and mine idles great. i have 13-14 psi of vac and only drops to 10-maybe 9psi when my AC kicks on and it stills idle's pretty damn good. also, the idle stays consistant.

thanks Al for the flash! car is a beast now!

I was pleased with his through the mail flash I got when I just had an intake, but since ive had the car on the dyno, I dont feel like shelling out $400 for him to make a simple change.

yea I can understand that. I am thinking about getting 272's but dont want to mess with emissions. I guess I will have to go with 264's and have a better idle and not worry about emissions. Any info would be appreciated...sorry to trying to hijack your thread..

haha...no worries about the jacking. I did notice that I could smell the exhaust fumes a lot more since the cams went it in and that I was blowing a lot more black smoke out of the exhaust. Ive also thrown 2 SES's which im assuming are related to the secondary 02 sensor. Car pulls pretty hard though.

i'm a little confused. $400 for a simple change? for an upgraded flash its only $100 after your first mail-in flash, plus $32 for shipping. where did you figure $400?

280's and adjusting the hell out of the cam gears=Lopey idle still. It's hard to get rid of. Even when AL Flashed it, it helped but was still lopey as hell.

Im custom tuned now so why would I want to go back to a generic flash?
