ECU Types

Hey Al I have what I think is an 03 computer as a spare. My car is an 04. If I wanted to do the mail in flash could I just send you the 03 computer so I had no downtime? Or are they fundementally different?

i have an 03 car with an 04 ecu in it. You just have to have the dealership program it to accept your key because of the immobilizer.

Yea that makes sense. I was thinking that you could program it yourself. But that wouldnt work because the ecu dosent have any information about the transponder which is in your key. They will have to flash your 04 ecu, and program the new transmitters to it...
