if you follow the directions at www.dynoflash.com contact page you can take out the ecu and bring it down for a base flash

We are meeting at the location specified in the 1st page of the post but I will be spending the vast majority of my time on the turnpike tuning !

How long does a base tune usually take? I can't believe there's a gauranteed 20 whp with a base flash. I might just have to bring my ecu over to you. I'd rather get a custom tune when I get more mods, but this might be a good start. If I up the boost to say 21 psi, the base flash will be ok right?

Base flash is always "OK" in fact is better than OK its great - I have over 2,000 out there with mostly amazing results

However - always - in every case custom tuning is the best path

Hey guys, glad to hear everyones alright! We got our power back within 48 hrs (had a diesel generator in between) with no damage. I had to stuff beach towels into my roof vents thru the attic durring the back half of the storm to stop the rain from blowing in. Talk about loud!!
Seems that things are slowly returning to normal. Most all the lights seem to be working, fuel seems to be available everywhere except down in Boca, Ft.Luaderdale & south.
Looking forward to meeting everyone who will be attending the tunning session. Can't wait to see what my car will be like after the tune!(actually it's my friends car, not mine)

The hotel is up and running and reporting that the local curfew is extended to 11:00 p.m. today

It seems that the trip is 100% on for sure

Lets hope that no new storms come - enough for one year !

We recently have had our curfew lifted in PSL. I expect that by the time you arrive, there will be no curfew.

due to the conditions with the post strom cleanup, hurricane and CURFEW I am closing this trip with the guys we have now booked

I will offer base flashes for those who want them BUT I wont be doing any custom tuning after the last appointment

I just want to fulfill my obligations to those who I have promised to tune and don't want to add any additional work to this trip

FOR THOSE who may be interested I will plan a return trip for late december / early january

Thanks for your continued support

I think that I will wait for the later date then. That way I'll have a few mods under my belt, and I'll be bored with my stock evo . Thanks for your help, and I hope you have a safe trip down here.

Dont worry bro - I never use a/c when tuning anyway - I like to keep windows open to let in the sounds of the engine !

Did you get the MBC yet ?

Hi, Al - curfew lifted here in Miami as well.
Still looking out for the MBC to arrive.
Is there any particular type of vacuum hose to get for hooking it up? or will any thing from the corner autoparts store do?!

I just changed to MR BOV as well and my Defi gauge is still showing max boost of 0.8 bar. EDIT: that's actually .8 (kPa x 100) not bar. I'm trying to figure out if this is normal.

Great news

If you dont get the MBC do not worry as I will bring some with me

Any automotive grade vac hose will do but you want to get a decent size to fit the turbo discharge snugly

I will bring some with me in case

Get to the meeting spot early and park in the back to let your car cool off so I wont burn my hands !
