Testing Al's tune @ the track tomorrow

I'm not really sure if this thread is appropriate for this forum but I'm really happy about my tune and excited to go to the track tomorrow.

Before the tune running 19.5 psi tapering to 17 I pulled an 8.2@85.5 with a crappy 1.8 60ft

I added a test pipe and BR cone filter (no intake pipe)
My tune was at 22psi tapering to I'm not sure what at redline on pump gas.

I went to check out the price of GT100 and it was 20 cents more than 93 so I filled its up (3.29/gal).

I got the boost around 24psi and AFR's look great. Upper 11's in the low range and mid 11's at higher rpm.

I should have some results posted tomorrow night. This track is pretty crack with like 0.0001 track prep. I want at least 7.8 but we'll see. Car could even be faster than what I think as long as I hook up nice at the light.

Another thing...

I have 1 gallon of xylene but I'm kind of scared to use it along with race gas. Any thoughts?

Ok so I went from a 8.21@85.5 to a 7.8@90 mph with a tune/testpipe/cone filter. I'm very happy and I think the car could do 7.7 with a 1.7 60'

Will post up my slips and what not when I get home.

Yes only a 1/8 mile around here and it's a really crappy track. Unfortunately they won't be open for the rest of the year so I won't have any chances to cut some 1.7 60's

here is my actual slip times

60ft 1.8393 - 1.8770
330ft 5.1491 - 5.2361
1/8 7.8782 - 7.9931
MPH 88.73 - 89.28

Here is a vid but this wasn't my best run. I'm hoping someone got my best runs on tape so I can look at my driving. I ran an 8.07@89.64 in this vid with a crappy 2.0 60'

http://racewv.net/dl/evo.avi

I need to work on the 1-2 shift and the launch some more. So far my best 60' is 1.81 I also want to look into my options of building boost before the launch.

I think I get a lil nervous at the launch because I don't want to break anything. I'm running a twin disc with 40k on the stock tranny/transfer case with 0 problems. The tranny is starting to get a little "loose" though. Needless to say I'll be shipping it to TRE over the winter.

Not really that much at all.. cams, BR ic and lower pipe, BR cone filter (stock pipe), BR TBE with test pipe, hks dl2.

Still need work on the launch but the car should be good for lower 12 sec 1/4 passes if I ever get the chance.

The track is really slick until around 9:30. Normally the street "test and tune" ends before then so I may have to look at some tire options next season if I don't get down in at least the lower 1.7x range.

I thought you hit 7.80 at 90?

Do you have that timeslip, or was 7.99 at 89.3 the best? Where did you buy GT100 for only $3.29, if I my ask? I was paying $5.75/gal at Summit Point this weekend, and 93 was $3.05 in Charestown (not Charleston).

Man I think those numbers are messed up lol

Here is the slip from the 7.8x run: http://www.justchil.net/albums/evo/7_8_89mph.sized.jpg

I'll upload the 7.99 when I get home.

There is a Sunoco located in Gauley Bridge (about 45mins out of Charleston) that had the GT100 for 3.29. Last time I went it was like 4.50/gallon. I bet the governors announcment to go after price gougers lowered it.

Is the Summit Point track pretty nice?
