Al's Flash w/ Buschur Stage 1

Al,

I am heading up to Buschur Racing to have their Stage 1 kit installed.

My question for you is:
Currently stock 2005 MR, after the Stage 1 and Flash, what type of AWHP should I expect... or hope for. Also, the flash that comes with the Stage 1, is that just a base flash, or will that include a Dyno or Street Tune.

If it is just a base flash, I would like to work something out to possibly have a custom tune done on Thursday after my Stage 1 is installed.

I am posting this in the forums, rather than a PM in case others have the same type of question.
Thanks and I look forward to meeting you on the 13th!!!

The WHP will depend on the dyno. I put down ~300 on a dynapack and that translated to a 12.8 @ 107 with BR stage 1 + dynoflash. SHould be faster with the MR. You'll be happy for sure!

Note: Our latest dyno day netted only ~300whp with cams and stuff added, but we were significantly faster at the track, in other words the dyno #s ain't worth $#i....

I'll guess 270hp on Buschurs dyno.. it depends a lot on how "strong" the car is from the factory.

Sterling is right on the money.. the trap speed on their website is 108 and shows 315hp on their old dyno.. which would be in the neighborhood of 260-270 on their new mustang dyno.

A base flash is good but a custom flash will yield the even better results. I had a mail in flash when I got custom tuned.. I only gained around 10hp/10-15ft/lbs peak but in the lower RPM's I agained more like 20hp/40ft/lbs

yeah, that's important too: don't dwell on the "peak" gains, but more the "overall" gains, ie the area under the curve. you'll see a relatively flat line become a nice convex curve...

Thanks for the response... I have decided to get the custom dyno tune instead of the base flash. Hopefully Al will have the time to do this, this Thursday. From everything I have heard about Buschur Racing and Al I will be nothing but impressed with the quality of work they perform.

I will post a full review of the trip, facilities and power difference when I return. I can't wait for Thursday morning!!!

Did you end up getting a custom tune. Just wanted to compare dyno numbers with another MR. Let me know how your session turned out. Thanks.
