Increase octane but use same boost setting

If I was tuned for 93 with X psi of boost and I decided to increase octane to say, 96 (for added protection) while keeping boost at the same psi or slightly less, would it in any way negatively affect performance?

Thanks

yes, you might loose power...higher octane gas has a higher flash point and burns slower

thats true bur 93 to 93 isn't as big a jump same from going 91 to 93.

but if you went 93 to 100 or 110 that might casue you to lose some (3-5) hp.
