Is it even possible to shift the Evo without letting off the gas, I can do it easily in any other car, but I have trouble shifting the Evo fast as it is with a Fidanza Short Shifter and Speed Source 2-piece bushing set.

Yes, several of us faster drivers do it. I only do a full powershift on the 3-4, but that's because it's probably the easiest thing I've done in my life. It really requires no effort or skill. I only do a 50% flatshift on the 2-3, and a full throttle lift on the 1-2. Some flatshift every gear, but I'm not that good. There are no short shifters yet for the 6spd (Works just made one), so I'm still using the long bus-like shifter.

Al,
What would be the cost to send you my ECU and just have this added with no other modification?

Yes, guys, the IX isn't different as far as launch control goes. His IX flash has been out for over a month now, and he's been going all over the country doing it. There's already one in Florida that ran 12.09 with a TBE, MBC, and mail-in Dynoflash. The launch control is the same - it's not specific to any year. It comes standard with every Dynoflash and can be set at whatever rpm you prefer.

Just last week, he was here in DC and flashed about 8-9 Evo IXs, several of whom were testing their launch control to verify that it was working, and it was.

Yes, I just got mine last weekend. set at 6k rpm. But i think its too high on the stock clutch. It feels like the clutch never gets a grip.

so is it true that the launch control should not be used with a hfc? searched with no overwhelming evidence.
