93 octane, so I assume 3rd gear boost 21-22psi, but did it spike 3750 to 4250 rpm, if so what was the spike. Just the shape of the initial torque, the rest of the torque/HP nice and linear.

I was guessing 23 psi judging from the spike......but every stock turbo evo is going to spike like that with higher boost

Considering the following, what Evo between the IX and VIII setup is faster (1/4 mi):

Both cars running same basic setup, i.e., TB exhaust, MBC, same tuning safety margin, and octane. The only difference is the VIII will have cams and alcohol and the IX doesn't.

If the cars are both running 93 octane and the 8 is running meth.....I would have to bet on the 8.......now if the IX is running 116, and the 8 is running 93+meth, I would have to go for the IX

On this car we used the factory bost gauge it just nicked 1.5 bar and then would fall to 1.4 and the taper to the red line

Could not run any more boost on the winter gas we have here - its weak

Just wanted to say thanks Al, the car is great. I had to adjust the BOV a little after I got home per my driving style, good to go. I have a question, when I autocross is it allright to crank the BOV all the way stiff, I thought you said it was all right, assuming that gives me more power.

Another question for anyone, is there a boost guage that will fit in the location that the MR one came with. I would also like to reuse the tubing that is there. Could somebody enlighten me since I searched for this for 2 days now and can't find the info I needed?
