Can I use my S AFC and A-VCR to switch between 2 maps, one with methanol and one without. I do not want to use methanol all the time.

I can't believe that crap posted by Vishnu about the guy who had problems with the Evo. IX, That was so unprofessional and such a lie.
I can't wait 'til u do another road tune on my car. I have paid my deposit for the Charleston trip. I have added Upper/Lower IC pipes, fuel pump, delete pipe,O2 housing and shortly an alky kit. I would like the 2 maps when u come if at all possible. I am not sure about the specifics such as difference in cost, time it will take, and time you have. Let me know when u get a chance.

the way i see it is the kid had al tune his car. i bet the kid left very happy with the resolts. then he had a problem AFTER he left al's shop. witch was shown to be a boost leak i beleave. he then went to ****snu for a fix and got taken advantege of. when he left there he was happy again witch i cant see why. he probly feels that al did something rong when it shows he did nothing rong. and dident the ending resolts show that al still made more power. odd if you ask me.

 

Not the results showed that al made like 40 hp less or soemthing at lower rpms....and the problem was just when he showed up to vishnu it was there at gruppe-s and not only that al tried to say it was a boost leak and the AFR's clearly showed that there wasnt a boost leak and then al refused to put up the rpms for the "new" dyno graph

the customer was happier with vishnu

I guarantee you that none of these guys know the full details of what happened from the moment the guy got tuned to the moment he got retuned by Vishnu. I know the full story from both Al's side and the owner's side, because he has PM'd me several times so that we could discuss it all. Most of it was a misunderstanding caused by an initial clash of interests before the tuning itself began, but there's no reason to go into all those details, because it's private. People should just back down and not speak of things which they do not know.

Gaulrich, you know my answer to this topic as I've answered via PM. The fact that you have an AVC-R makes the boost/map switch even easier.

 

I don't understand why this single incedent is such a big deal. A couple of years ago it was the norm, with Al and Vishnu going back and forth "out tuning" each others maps as people would defect from their respective "camps." Thats all this is as well. Its been done on both sides and is old news.

Both can tune, both have different philosophies, both seem to work. As far as who's is better, thats up to the buyer, not what the tuner thinks.

This is the question I keep trying to get you to answer. I do not understand way you told me this can be done and than when I spoke to you on the phone you said it cannot.
