You got it a little backwards, ty. He doesn't make plans to go anywhere until AFTER he's received the deposits. He doesn't randomly choose to go places - places choose to bring him by sending in a minimum of _5_ deposits for custom tunes.
He would come to Utah if you got at least 5 deposits, but that didn't seem too likely when this thread began, which is why CKJeepin drove down to Denver for his tune...

OK, I'll have my local guy do it.
If the SLC guys and gals decide to pony up the cash to bring him out here, all I'm saying is that you can count me in to pay a deposit to help bring him out here.
It's all good either way.

I finally found a guy up here who can tune my evo. I bought a piggyback and an airflow and all that jazz. He also was able to take out my custome exhaust manifold and weld it. It looks good. I'm waiting to see how his tuning is. I was referred to him by racing car club in town. He takes care of all their cars and specializes in imports. Cool guy. So far I've been impressed. Took me like 6 months to find someone I felt like I could trust....whew!
Oh, when you said you'd pay to get flashed, I didn't think you would have bought a piggyback. Hopefully, the guy knows Evos very well - I wouldn't trust him just from knowing other imports, fyi.
I hear ya. However, you can't be held paralyzed by the thought that the only guy who can tune your car lives in Connecticut, know what I mean? He may be the best that advertises but there are guys all over that can rock and roll with Evo's but you'd never know cuz they don't advertise like the big boys do. Having said that, I still wouldn't mind having him work on my car if there was ever a bunch of guys who ponied up the moola!
By no means was I saying Al is the only guy. I just would only trust a guy tuning my Evo if he was intimately knowledgeable with the Evo's tendencies, knock thresholds, and AFR intricacies.
