racing methanol vs. methanol

Do the different formulations of methanol ~99% make any difference. I found some that are made for racing that may have some extra lubication. Is this the way to go, or if I order "pure methanol" from a scientific (non-racing) chemical company. Is there a difference, or am I just spliting hairs?

Great Question. I ran out of VP methanol, and have some Pure methanol from a friend who has a Go-cart shop, and I have it in the tank now, and if it is bad for the car, I better drain it! He has 2 huge 55 gal. drums of the stuff. Maybe this stuff is "lubricated". Need info also.
