I had an idea...I want to make the ultimate street evo...in doing so I want to have driveability and versatility along with possibility fo big power numbers...no standalone. Initially I decided to use an AEM EMS but sold it for money. Thinking about it, I want to do a speed density conversion, piggy back supported Evo so I can maintain stock driveability with as litte hassle to myself during my initial learning to tune days. With the stock ECU and a GOOD wideband, I can make small adjustments and not worry if the fan will kick on, or have to agonize over the most minute adjustment throwing the whole car off balance. Stock ECU, piggy back, wideband and some creative computer setup ideas and it should be as powerful as a standalone with a much easier tuning process

My options are: UTEC (not interested)
EManage (not interested)
ECU+ (Very Interested, but no MAP conversion)
MAFTPRO (probably the choice)


I am going to use a PLX R500 to log and monitor.

I need to reflash the stock ECU for higher RPM, but heres what I DONT know.

The OBD-II checks are driving me NUTS. VERY VERY NUTS.

I am wondering if there is anything that can be done to eliminate some of the checks to bypass problems such as a lack of EGR and low cat or no cat efficiency.
