280 cams

AL im going to get a custom tune from you in march down in oregan. im just wonder if you can tune the car fine with 280 in it. some people say they are to big and other say that they will work fine. i have a injen air intake/ic pipe, down pipe, cat delete, exgaust, mail in tune that will be a custom tune and manuel boost controller. before the tune i plan to do a works throttle body, hks 280s, cam gears, arp studs and im hoping to get a 20g-9 also. do you think that 280s would be fine or should i go with 272. thanks

you may also want to check out that thread from the latest buschur dyno days. apparently flashing with 280's was not as good as previously thought . 272's are now the recommended maximum duration to go with a flash to avoid idling issues and stalling.

**however you may be one of the lucky ones to get them to work with a flash

That was just one car that was having issues. Other cars with 280s, Al has been able to flash just fine while providing a very smooth idle.
