SC 2/18 tuning trip - CANCELED !
Guys - very sad to report I am here at the airport - air traffic controll has canceled my flight due to some wind in the area right now - my flight was to be on a small "regional jet" which is not allowed to fly in the heavy wind gusts we are having now
Because of the snow storm this week and air traffic disruptions and the holiday weekend ALL seats to the south are booked solid and I can not secure a seat on any plane anywhere within a 3 hour drive of SC
As a result I am going to have to cancel the SC trip now and look to postpone it
I am very sorry about this situation - however this series of events is beyond my control - I drove a round trip of 6 hours through traffic and waited in line at the airport 1 hour to get this news. Honestly, I had no idea that they could get away with this kind of thing. This is the first time that this sort of thing has happened to me and it was a real eye opener. The bottom line is that when you are dealing with the airlines you are treated like herd of cattle and you are at thier merecy. I honestly was shocked to hear that not only was my flight canceled but they had no other flight to get me there till Monday. All I can say is that its good that this sort of thing does not happen on a regular basis or i would flip out. last week i was stuck in Houston for two days when they canceled my flight home and now this week I am spending a whole day driving to and from the air port only to find out it was a giant waste of time. if they had given me any reasonable notice I could have simply drove to SC today.
In two and a half years of travel this has never occured and I think its a sad state of affiars when this sort of thing happens The airline industry is a joke
When I have some time I will propose some alternative dates
Anyone who wants a refund - PM details of original paynment - keep in mind without 5 guys I can not do this trip

I understand it isn't your fault but my car needs tuned bad. I could send my ECU for a mail in flash but I need tuned for myth. The other problen is there is no place close to me to drive and get this done.
Can you take one for the team, come out here and tune at least a couple of cars if there isn't a total of 5 guys? Maybe you can go to the beach and catch some rays or take a carriage ride!

trust me guys, i yelled and screamed to the extent of my voice going away at those airline people for hours today and I could not scare up a seat for today to get down there.
I just got back from the air port and I am going to start looking into some alternative flights
One of the major issues I am seeing is that the Charleston Airport has limited service from my area
Anyway - I will start looking into it and see what I can do
PS - Continental Airlines sucks

My thinking here is since the NC guys also want me to come there - I would try and propose a central meeting asap and try and service both groups at the same time - after i have seen where everyone lives I can come up with some ideas
My main issue is to try and organize this as soon as possible
